Excellent Thai food. So delicious. I got the cashew salad roll and the yellow curry with mixed vegetables (medium spicy-ness) and it was SO good. It comes with rice or rice noodles, I got the rice and mixed it in with the curry right away. So perfect. I would absolutely come back again and might even get the same thing. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for the delicious meal.
Sai's is our favourite place to eat. The staff are friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is very authentic. I've heard it said that it takes a long time to get a meal, but I have to point out that it's not a fast food restaurant. It's real food cooked by a real Thai chef.
This place is the bomb guys. Incredible food and friendly service! I love eating here.
A gem in the cowichan valley. She is truly a master at her craft
A truly wonderful restaurant. Every time I dine in the staff are always very friendly and hospitable and have my order memorized. All the food is made with fresh with quality ingredients. My favourite restaurant without a doubt.
It's the most amazing authentic Tai food in Cowichan.
Very nice meal. Watch the spice, Thai medium is about the same as Indian hot. Needs more Thai artwork / decor. We also found the food to be quite salty, but we are on a low dodium diet. Next time we'll ask for no added salt, we forgot as we are new to ghe low Na diet.
Love this place. Really authentic Thai food. Very very good.
Friendly staff, great food!
A authentic, tasty Thai food you can get in Duncan. I would recommend this restaurant. If you have not been...do yourself a favor and go.
Started with Chicken Satay, deep fried Tofu and main of Koaw Soi which was delightful and satisfying. Disappointed that they were out of veggie spring rolls, I am sure they would be good as they were sold out! The lighting is bright and is a little cold. But the spices will warm you up!
Absolutely amazing food. A heads up, their Med. heat is about a hot-1.Home made authentic and great flavours. Number 20 on the menu is amazing, and mild enough for kids, everything I tried was excellent. The chief is an older lady who uses her mothers recipes. Do not expect fast service, as each dish is made to order, and she brings it out herself to you.Dish size is a tiny bit small for my taste but pricing is such that I order 3 dishes for two people and we share, leaving very full and very very satisfied. You must try this place.
Delicious food. I had the pad thai
Tasteless food and on top of that moody waitress tells you they dont have soy sauce or spacy/hot sauce!!! Not coming back
This is the most authentic Thai cuisine I have ever had. The food is remarkable. I have not had a single bad item on the menu. I highly recommend the Khai Soi.
Love this little gem! Our two favorite dishes are the Mussaman Curry and the Sai Fried Noodles! Both very delicious :-) Highly recommend this unique little Thai Café!
The most delicious Thai food we have ever had! We always stop here to eat if we're travelling through Duncan.
Simple, clean, friendly, yummy unexpected surprise in Duncan. Went here with my family and we all enjoy the food.
Excellent food but atmosphere needs improvement
Yellow curry was a sweet, gummy ball of noodles with run-of-the-mill vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, onions). They warn there's a long wait, which I could accept if the food was delicious. They're in a small town, so big city exotic meals may be a lot to ask.Vegetarian spring rolls had beans, which was fine but an odd pairing with the sweet sauce. Fried tofu was good. The service was friendly, decor was freshly updated, clean restaurant.
Best Pad Thai in the Cowichan Valley!
Food is my favorite tasty
Mmmmmm to much good
Best food in duncan. Wonderfully authentic Thai. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.
My food was cold, was not spicy in the least and tasted like my dad's attempt at Thai food, but worse. Maybe I visited on an off day, but my food tasted nothing like my friends food who ordered the same thing. This doesn't taste anything like the Thai food in Vancouver that I'm used to. If you are a Thai fan, don't expect much.
Love the food.... Tasty unique, friendly service.
Very nice real Thai dishes cooked from scratch
I got the cashew yellow curry rice noodle. Really delicious. My co-luncher got the pad Thai, which was really good (but we both agreed the yellow curry was our fav between the two). The Thai iced tea is a must-try!:)
We ordered Pad Thai noodles with chicken , the Spicy Basil noodles with beef, and yellow curry vegetables. All were excellent. Fast service.
Best Thai food around!! 👍
May's food is always delicious. It's soul food at its very best! Thank you May and the Sai Spice Cafe family.
Really good food, good service and good prices. Had the chicken pad Thai and chicken satay
Very good food, but a little slow.
May owner/cook is excellent. Big dishes great for healthy family setting
Quaint, delicious, reasonably priced Thai food.
The best, most authentic, tastiest Thai food you can get. I will be recommending this restaurant to every single person I can. If you have not been...do yourself a favor and go today.
I popped in for a quick lunch and order Phad Thai. I think that there was too liberal a splash of fish sauce that gave it an unfortunately "off" taste. I ate the chicken and the broccoli, but left the noodles. I offered to pay, but the server and owner were aware of my reaction and kindly declined payment. Others seemed to be enjoying their fare, so it may be an exception.
Authentic Thai... spicy if you are not used to real Thai but they explained that when I ordered.
Food is amazing, best curry I've had. But don't go if you're too hungry, the portions are REALLY small. I crave their curry often, but never go because you don't get much for your money.
I absolutely love her food. Very different Pad Thai than I've had anywhere else and I have a hard time ordering it anywhere but Sai's. I eat there often! I have had over half the menu. The yellow curry noodle and Spicy Basil noodle are awesome. The soups are beautiful. Massuman Curry is killer. It's all good.
The Thai food here is like no other I've had. I have a hard time venturing to other Thai restaurants as this food is so unique.
We go here every week and have the same thing because it's so good I can't not have that flavour!! It isn't the prettiest of restaurants, but man, the food..... Best in town.
Love the food. Different than typical North American thaii food. Really delicious and you can request very mild to "Call the Fire Department!" Good for vegans as well.
Real Thai food: excellent. Recommended
Excellent Currys And good portions for the price I'll be coming back her again and again it's that good. The only draw back is it is a small place and if there are no tables I hope you like take out.
Best Thai food I've ever had, the lady that cooks it is one of the sweetest people in the world. If you ever get a chance stop here, you won't regret it.
Overall... Meh - ordered the pad thai which was mediocre, and ordered the cashew chicken which was about 1/4 full of one of those round metal containers. Not too impressed. Spring rolls were good though
Good food, good service.
Awsme place used to go there every time and now I visit them couple a times a year ✌ great food and reasonable price
Truly awful experience dinning here for lunch on a Wednesday. I ordered a noodle dish and the noodles were struck together -likely microwaved. The dish smelled awful -maybe old and there was a hair in my food. It felt like the kitchen was testing whether or not I’d go through with it. Waiter was good about taking my dish back after two bites and very apologetic.
